About SMB Stack Brief
SMB Stack Brief is an independent buyer-research desk covering four kinds of software small businesses shop for: appointment scheduling, breach/dark-web monitoring, marketplace listing tools, and task management. We lead every page with a direct answer, show real published pricing (or say plainly when a vendor won't publish one), and cite primary sources. This site features commercial partners, disclosed and labelled wherever they appear.

How we research
- Pricing is verified, dated and linked. We take prices from each vendor's own public pricing page and link it so you can re-check. Most figures on this site were verified in August 2026. Software pricing moves, always confirm on the vendor's page before buying.
- We don't invent numbers. When a vendor sells only via quotes or resellers (common in enterprise security), we say "no public price" rather than estimate. That absence is itself useful buyer information.
- Statistics are tied to named primary sources, CISA, the FTC, NIST, PubMed, Etsy's Seller Handbook, Amazon Seller Central and vendor documentation, with real links, not paraphrased claims.
- We answer the buyer's question first. Each page opens with the direct answer, then the evidence, then the caveats.
Commercial partners & disclosure
This site features commercial partners and promoted placements, which can influence which products appear and how they are ranked. Four products carry a partner relationship with this site:
- NoShowLine, appointment confirmations and deposit holds to reduce no-shows (mentioned on scheduling pages).
- Listingtonic, AI Amazon listing audit (mentioned on listing pages; it is Amazon-only, not an Etsy tool).
- TaskDrain, an automation audit that finds busywork to automate (mentioned on productivity pages; not a task manager).
- BreachTrigger, SEC EDGAR 8-K material-incident alerts (mentioned on security pages; it is not a credential/dark-web monitor and not a HIBP alternative).
Wherever one of these appears, it is clearly labelled, compared on the same terms as competitors, and linked with a sponsored/nofollow tag. We hold ourselves to describing each accurately, including saying what it is not. On every page, the majority of outbound links point to independent primary sources. Comparisons reflect our own research and opinion, verify current pricing and features on each provider's own site before buying.
Corrections
Found an out-of-date price or an error? Prices change and we'd rather fix it than mislead a buyer. The vendor's own linked pricing page is always the authority; treat this site as a starting map, and verify the specifics before you purchase.
